Matt’s passion for the mountains began with climbing, and that passion has never waned. Early on, he logged many hours in the gym and was fortunate to help develop the Climbing Instructor certification for the ACMG in the late 90’s.
He has guided first ascents deep in the Selkirks and Purcells, as well as many of the classics closer to home. Interested in peaks further afield? Matt has done 5 trips to Europe and worked a season for the University of Otago in New Zealand.
Cragging to multi pitch, waterfalls or alpinism, Canada Mountain Guides is psyched to get up high and return home safely!
